At the Newark Mind Body Spirit fair, promoted by Lizian Events, I had the pleasure of meeting Stephanie King. Author, Healer, Life Coach and Counsellor, Stephanie immediately impressed me with her brio, zest for life, and enthusiasm. I like books. I also believe that so many good books lie lifeless on tables and bookcases without the energy of their authors to promote them. Stephanie is a wonderful and passionate advocate for her work. Fortunately, that energy is captured in this accompanying video that I asked Stephanie to record.
She is currently promoting two books, “And So it Begins” and “Life is Calling”. The former is a life reassessment and recalibration book, the latter is written like a deck of cards, with each page offering a message.
“And So it Begins” is a light, but profound Spiritual handbook. There is a finite amount that can be said in self-help books. What sets this apart is the gentle language and clear direction. Stephanie does not shy away from the paradox that the more questions Science answers about what our universe is, the more questions are raised about the “why”. Why it exists. In so doing she offers a welcome case for Spiritualism.
The book combines standard self-improvement advice skilfully interwoven with a profoundly spiritually message. I particularly enjoyed the concept of “Plugging Back into the Mainframe”, reconnecting with the power and lessons that we have learned in our lives. How often do we know the answers to problems, but somehow we just don’t seem to be able to “plug in”.
“Life is Calling” is a different entity altogether. It is presented as a book of cards in which the reader is invited to hold the book, transfer their energy, then open up the book, apparently at random, In practice it offers advice for that day. Having used it myself regularly over the past few weeks I can vouch for its wisdom. As such it can be dipped into, and out of. Specific guidance for the day can be sought, but it can also be read in bits and pieces as well, as and when the need for some “bon mots” may arise.
Stephanie wrote this “channelled”, in stream of consciousness style. Normally this format bothers me with poor writing, muddled thought and repetition excused by a commitment to be authentic sometimes the result. That is not so here. It has no rough edges or inconsistencies, just a constant flow of good advice- a tribute to her guides!
Having met her, and chatted at some length, I was struck by how the books radiate from the pages, the positive, Spiritual warmth Stephanie exudes in person. Highly recommended.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” style=”margin: 0px;padding: 45px 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”] [/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][/cs_content]
