I was particularly pleased to be able to catch up with him at Long Eaton Spiritualist Church, one of my favourite Spiritualist centres, led by President Jane Walton, whose humility, confidence and grace set the tone for all around her.
The course was sold out, and we were greeted by a shoeless Pietro in stockinged feet, reflecting before the days proceedings.
Those attending were a mixed bunch; young and old, experienced and inexperienced, men and women, but all quickly fell under the spell of the disciplined, energetic course leader who knew just how to combine firm direction with a light touch.
As the day unfolded, so did Pietro’s personality. Not only was he an excellent advocate for the highest standards of Mediumship, but he was also demanding on presentation too.
He struck a chord when considering how the Philosophy presentations at some Spiritualist Churches have become downgraded in recent years with occasionally reluctant Mediums having to perform a role which is not their forte.
His advice on how to do it well was very welcome. His case for separate speakers to deliver inspiring Philosophy well made.
The afternoon drew to a close with every aspect of Mediumship tweaked so that everyone, whatever their present experience, had been given the opportunity to improve further.
By chance, two slots became available for what was a sold -out evening demonstration of Table Tilting, something I had never seen before.
My partner and I snapped them up. Sure enough the table tilted, rotated, spun, danced and whizzed around. Previously, I did have my doubts. But on the night,
I watched Pietro at close quarters, accompanied by up to three audience members, with no obvious signs of manipulation.
Furthermore he left the table on one occasion, with four random members of the audience at the table – and it performed its magic.
Pietro combined audience involvement with impromptu messages keeping a delighted audience rapt for almost two hours.
It was a hugely, enjoyable, long day. I can highly recommend him for both workshops and Table Tilting. His details are on facebook.
