Buxton Pavilions Sat 27th Oct
Wytches and Wizards Market
I like Buxton. I also like Buxton Pavilions. That sense of Victorian grandeur still exists, it is as though you might bump into Queen Victoria herself as you wander the streets or pass the Opera House. There is ample parking on site, and some fabulous restaurants and pubs within walking distance – I recommend the Simply Thai.
Organised by White Light Events Wendy Lewis, the Wytches and Wizards Market utilised the foyer and cinema space, rather than the larger Pavilion itself, which was being used for an antiques fair . This was serendipitous, as free entry to the market grabbed all the antiques fair customers too!
The mercurial and irrepressible Barbara Meiklejohn ensured a strong local presence, but what struck me how many there were from Stockport, Manchester, Sheffield as well as Barrow in Furness and Surrey. The latter shows the benefits of holding a fair in a tourist destination.
Business was brisk with bookings taken for Past Life Regressions as well as for the Healing and Poetry Retreats, more information of which is available: http://www.jane-osborne.com/retreats-and-cds/
Sometimes smaller venues have a cult following, this was definitely the case here. I look forward to returning to the venue again next for the Health & Healing Fair in the Pavilion itself Sat/ Sun 15th/ 16th June 2019.
My next White Light Events show is Sat 17th November 2018 at Derby Cricket Ground 10am- 5pm. To book a past life regression telephone 07913746072.
