Our healing therapy weekends are very popular, the most recent of which was a few weeks ago. We wee hugely fortunate to have the services of Lorraine Heron as one of our therapists who offered foot readings as one of our therapies. It proved hugely popular.
Lorraine has specialised in this discipline for many years. She reflected: “I have always been interested in solestry as a foot savant, but it is only in recent years that I have begun to apply my years of learning into a commercial therapy. Many will know solestry as podomany or podomancy.”
People tend to focus on the physical characteristics of their feet, Bunions, Long, Short, Wide,
High arch, Blisters. But that is not what solestry is about. Solestry is
about their own emotions and personality.
She isnot telling them anything they don’t already know about themselves. What she is not offering is a medical diagnosis of foot ailments. If you have concerns about your foot health, see a registered chiropodist, podiatrist or your own doctor.
Solestry involvess analysing the structure and texture of the feet to understand emotions and personality. The biggest misconception people have is to think you have to be psychic to be able to do a foot reading. It’s nothing to do with being psychic. It’s all about analysing the structure and texture and imbalances of the feet to understand someone’s emotions and personality.
Initially some have doubts. But when you ask them if people’s walks differ according to their emotions, they will readily agree. People “stomp” away, they “swagger” they “drag their feet” all offer specific emotions.
When you are angry, how do you walk? When you are happy, how do you walk? When you are depressed, how do you walk? Each of these emotions has its corresponding walk. Over time you can see their impact on the feet.
Lorraine is a passionate animal rights activist, as well as a EFT and reflexology practitioner. Why not find out whether she will be present at one of our future retreats?
