Last weekend was spent at the Epic Centre Newark Showground, exhibiting with Lizian events. It was a great show. The Epic centre is modern, spacious and comfortable, the showground itself vast, simultaneously also accommodating events from the Scouts, a Gymkhana, and flyball. It is a hive of activity.
Newark has a special feel for someone like myself who specialises in Past Life Regressions. As you approach from the west you encounter a tangle of roads, canals, locks, the River Trent and railways, all bearing testament to the town’s rich past, which dates back to Roman times and the Fosse Way.
More recently, the Great North Road of Dick Turpin fame, the slighted castle, scene of much Civil War conflict, and the Victorian industrial landscape all give a great sense of place.
Visitors, steady but not overwhelming, gathered from across the great open spaces of Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire from as far as Grimsby, Louth, Boston and Nottingham. The show itself had a great mix of exhibitors, Wildkatt with her drums, Campbell and Carole Wallace with their crystals, and India Jo with her mediumship to name but three.
This was the Nottinghamshire launch of my book “The Golden Age of Spiritualism” which came off the presses in August, but has sold so well I now only have less than a hundred left – a reprint awaits! People seem to love the biographies of, and stories about, The Last Witch, The Sleeping Prophet and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. And how do Houdini and Sir Winston Churchill fit into all of this? You will have to grab one of the last of the first edition copies to find out!
I also took many bookings for my new facilities at the Pure Spa, Manor Farm, Gainsborough Road, Near Saxilby, Lincoln LN1 2LX · 01522 704945 where I am offering Regression days from lovely rooms one day a month.
Thanks to Lizian for organising this event and all the exhibitors for making it happen – I hope you enjoy the book! http://www.jane-osborne.com/retreats-and-cds/
